Welcome to The Red Hound Gifts! I’m Vanessa Schepis, the proud owner of this locally loved boutique. You might be wondering, “Why Name Your Boutique, The Red Hound?” Well, I didn’t. The Red Hound was founded in March 2000 by two longtime friends, one of whom had a red dachshund—yes, the red hound! They built the business into a community favorite, known for unique home decor and thoughtful gifts.
Fast forward to May 2013, when my journey with The Red Hound began. I was searching for the perfect gift for my sister-in-law, and naturally, I turned to The Red Hound. By chance, I discovered that the store was for sale, and a few months later, I became the proud owner. It may sound unbelievable, but I joke that it was an expensive gift for my sister-in-law! But truly, it was the perfect fit, combining my love for beautiful home decor and thoughtful gifting.
Since then, my focus has always been on offering high-quality, distinctive items that you’ll be proud to have in your home and to give as gifts. We work closely with over 30 local artisans and vendors to bring their amazing products to you, ensuring each piece is special and crafted with care. Every item in our boutique reflects my personal style, and I take pride in curating a collection that’s both unique and timeless.
In November 2018, I had the exciting opportunity to design and open a new location in the charming heart of Downtown Alpharetta, Georgia. It was a dream come true! The design process was a labor of love, and I couldn’t be prouder of our beautiful boutique. Alongside me is a talented and dedicated team—we truly are The Red Hound family, and we’re here to make your shopping experience exceptional.
